WBCS 2019 Prelims Mock Test Series

ICSG Online Mock Test Series for WBCS Prelims 2019


    • The test will be held on Sundays starting from 21st October, 2018 and will continue till 13th January, 2018. 
    • There will be 8 full length mock tests. Each test paper comprises 200 questions. The first 4 tests have specified syllabus for all subjects. Rest 4 tests will be based on whole syllabus. For schedule and syllabus, go below the page.
    • Candidates can answer only once with the given link of the question. 
    • The test will be conducted in online platform. There are flexible timings for the candidates to take the test. However, the candidates have to answer within a specified time period(say within 1 or 2 days from the scheduled date) to get one’s overall rank in the final result.
    • The final rank will be published within 10-14 days from the exam date.
    • The answer copy, hints and answer keys of the question paper of individual candidate will be sent to the candidate within 7-10 days from the submission of answer sheet.
    • Useful study materials covering detailed current affairs will be supplied to the registered candidate through out the period of January, 2018 to December, 2018 which is included in the test series package.

    Oct 21:

    Ancient History: Pre-Harappan Civilisation, Indus Valley Civilisation, Vedic Civilisation, Mahajanapadas.
    Medieval History: Sultani Period.
    Modern History: European Settlements in East, Later Mughals, Provincial Nawabs, British Expansion in India till 1765.
    Indian Geography: Physiography of India, Solar System and Universe, Earthquake, Earth Structure.
    Indian Polity: Constitutional Assembly, Features of Indian Constitution, Preamble, Fundamental Rights.
    Indian Economy: Basic concepts of economics, Poverty, Development and Growth.
    General Science and Environment will include question from the whole syllabus.
    For General Knowledge and Current Affairs, there will be no specific syllabus.
    Math and Logical Reasoning: HCF and LCM, Number System and Divisibility,
    Percentage, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest.

    Nov 4:
    Ancient History: Religious Movements, Jainism, Buddhism, Mauryan dynasty and other dynasties pre-Gupta era.
    Medieval History: Vijaynagar Empire and Provincial dynasties.
    Modern History: East India Company Rule from 1765 to 1857. Land Reforms, Governor Generals, British Wars, Tribal Uprisings, Sepoy Mutiny, Socio Religious reform movements.
    Indian Geography: Indian Rivers and lakes, Dams and Hydroelectric Projects, Climate of India.
    Indian Polity: DPSP, Fundamental Duties, The President and Parliament of India (including the Legislative assemblies).
    Indian Economy: Fiscal Policy, Budget, Taxation.
    General Science and Environment will include question from the whole syllabus.
    For General Knowledge and Current Affairs, there will be no specific syllabus.

    Math and Logical Reasoning: Compound interest, Time distance, Simplification and Special problems.



    Nov 11:
    Ancient History: Gupta Period, Post Gupta Period till Harshavardhana.
    Medieval History: Medieval Period in Bengal, Sufi and Bhakti Movement.
    Modern History: Reform in British Administration after Sepoy mutiny, Economic Policy of British Empire, Formation of Congress, Rise of Nationalism in India till 1916.
    Indian Geography: Soil of India, Natural Vegetation of India.
    Indian Polity: Supreme Court and High Courts, Constitutional Bodies and other bodies, Centre and State Relation.
    Indian Economy: Monetary Policy, RBI and Banking system in India.
    General Science and Environment will include question from the whole syllabus.
    For General Knowledge and Current Affairs, there will be no specific syllabus.
    Math and Logical Reasoning: Time and Work, Pipe and cistern, Mixture and allegation, Ratio and proportion, Partnership.



    Nov 25:
    Ancient History: From 606 A.D till the end of Ancient Period in India, Sangam Literature, Southern Empires like Chola, Pallava, Chalukyans, Rashtrakutas etc.
    Medieval History: Mughal Period, Deccan Sultans and Rajputs.
    Modern History: Gandhian Era, working class movement, Agricultural Movements, Revolutionary terrorism, Depressed class movement, Freedom movement till 1947.
    Indian Geography: Agriculture, Irrigation, Industry in India, Geography of West Bengal, Tribes and Culture in India.
    Indian Polity: Amendments of Constitution of India, Emergency Provision in the Constitution, local governments in India and all other topics.
    Indian Economy: Inflation, Organisations related to economics in India and World, Economic Survey 2017-18.
    General Science and Environment will include question from the whole syllabus.
    For General Knowledge and Current Affairs, there will be no specific syllabus.
    Math and Logical Reasoning: Geometry, Mensuration, Date and day problems, Mix problems.
    The syllabus for the rest of the mock tests scheduled to be held on Dec: 9, 16, Jan 6 and 13 will be based on whole syllabus.
